Certified Excellence
Quality Control
Every THEVID CERAMICA tile undergoes multi-stage quality verification — from raw material testing to final inspection. ISO 13006, CE and TÜV certified processes guarantee consistent quality in every batch shipped worldwide.
International Certifications
Our Certifications Explained
International Standard for Ceramic Tiles
ISO 13006
ISO 13006 is the globally recognized standard for ceramic floor and wall tiles, covering dimensional tolerances, water absorption, breaking strength, surface hardness, chemical resistance and thermal properties. Our ISO certification confirms every production batch meets these benchmarks before dispatch.
European Conformity Certification
CE Marking
The CE mark is a mandatory conformity mark for ceramic tile products sold within the European Economic Area. It demonstrates compliance with the EU's Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011), covering performance, safety and environmental requirements. Essential for export to European markets.
Independent German Quality Certification
TÜV Rheinland
TÜV Rheinland is one of the world's most respected independent testing and certification bodies. Our TÜV certification validates that our manufacturing processes, quality management systems and finished tile products meet internationally recognized performance and safety standards.
Multi-Stage Verification
Our Quality Process
Quality at THEVID CERAMICA is not an afterthought — it is built into every stage of production. Our quality management system operates on three levels: incoming raw material verification, in-process monitoring, and finished goods inspection.
This three-layer approach means defects are caught early, waste is minimized, and only tiles that meet our strict grading criteria reach our customers. Our on-site laboratory conducts daily testing using calibrated ISO-compliant instruments.
For export orders, we can arrange third-party inspection by internationally recognized agencies before container loading, providing additional assurance for our global clients.
Raw Material Testing
All incoming minerals — silica, feldspar, kaolin and clay — are tested for chemical composition, moisture content and particle size before entering production.
Pressing & Drying Check
Tile blanks are checked for dimensional accuracy (length, width, thickness) and surface flatness using calibrated measuring instruments after each pressing run.
Pre-Kiln Inspection
Before kiln entry, tiles are visually inspected for cracks, chips, and pressing defects. Any substandard blanks are rejected and recycled.
Post-Kiln Dimensional Check
After firing and cooling, 100% of tiles pass through an automated line measuring dimensional deviation, warpage and wedging per ISO 10545-2 tolerances.
Visual & Surface Inspection
Trained inspectors examine every tile for surface defects — pinholes, crawling, color deviation, pattern alignment and glaze imperfections — under standardized lighting.
Lab Testing — Physical Properties
Random samples from each batch are tested in our on-site lab for: water absorption (ISO 10545-3), breaking strength (ISO 10545-4), surface hardness, slip resistance and chemical resistance.
Grading & Sorting
Tiles are sorted into Grade A (first quality) and Grade B (commercial grade) based on inspection results. Grade A tiles are packed for export; Grade B for domestic secondary markets.
Final Packing Inspection
Packed boxes are checked for correct labeling, quantity, cushioning and seal integrity before palletization and dispatch.
In-House Laboratory
Tests We Run Daily
Water Absorption Test
ISO 10545-3 — Measures moisture uptake to confirm tiles meet vitrified standards (≤0.5%). Critical for bathroom, kitchen and wet area applications.
Breaking Strength
ISO 10545-4 — Measures the load required to break the tile. Our tiles consistently achieve ≥1,300–1,500 N, exceeding the ISO minimum for heavy-use environments.
Dimensional Accuracy
ISO 10545-2 — Verifies length, width, thickness, warpage and wedging of each batch. Our tolerance is ±0.3%, tighter than the ISO requirement of ±0.6%.
Slip Resistance
DIN 51130 — Tests the tile's anti-slip rating (R-value). Our outdoor and commercial tiles achieve R9–R11, meeting global safety standards for wet and slip-prone environments.
Chemical Resistance
ISO 10545-13 — Confirms tiles resist exposure to household chemicals, cleaning agents and industrial solvents without surface damage or staining.
Surface Abrasion (PEI)
ISO 10545-7 — The Porcelain Enamel Institute (PEI) rating determines suitability for foot traffic. Our tiles achieve PEI III–V — suitable from domestic to heavy commercial use.
Thermal Shock Resistance
ISO 10545-9 — Tiles are subjected to rapid temperature changes (from 15°C to 145°C) to confirm they will not crack or delaminate in extreme temperature environments.
Frost Resistance
ISO 10545-12 — Confirms tiles can withstand freeze-thaw cycles without damage. Essential for outdoor and cold-climate export markets.
Stain Resistance
ISO 10545-14 — Tests resistance to common staining agents (coffee, oil, dye). Our glazed tiles achieve Class 4–5 stain resistance — easy to clean in all settings.
Quality FAQs
Yes. All our ceramic and porcelain tile products are manufactured in compliance with ISO 13006 — the international standard for ceramic tiles. Our certification covers dimensional accuracy, water absorption, breaking strength, surface abrasion and chemical resistance.
Absolutely. We support third-party pre-shipment inspection by internationally recognized agencies (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) for all export orders. This can be arranged at the buyer's cost and coordinated with our factory team.
Yes, we provide batch-specific test reports from our in-house laboratory for all export orders. Formal third-party ISO test certificates are available on request.
We pack all tiles to international shipping standards with protective foam inserts and reinforced corrugated boxes. In case of damage claims, we require photographic evidence within 7 days of delivery and handle replacement or credit on verified cases.
